Electrical/Computer Engineering Intern

Phiquest is looking for an Electrical/Computer Engineering Intern. As an intern at Phiquest you will put your skills to the test in real-world engineering projects. There is no busy work here. The Electrical/Computer Engineering Intern is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software and IoT/embedded systems for Phiquest clients in addition to the testing and modification of new and pre-existing systems.

Responsibilities / Essential Duties:

  • Assemble and test prototype electronics
  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software
  • Collect and analyze test data for use in product improvement
  • Design, setup and execute experiments to characterize product performance
  • Diagnoses issues in software applications and environments
  • Interacts with colleagues and/or partners through a variety of mediums to perform job duties
  • Develop various tools within the core product and to increase day-to-day efficiency
  • Maintain infrastructure to ensure smooth operations

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Strong team player, ability to build positive and collaborative relationships within the organization
  • Basic soldering and lab skills
  • Strong computer skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some knowledge in Schematics and electronic components
  • Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Node.js, Javascript, or C/C++
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to develop professionally
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
  • Problem solving abilities and the ability to meet reasonable deadlines
  • Ability to work under general supervision

Education / Previous Experience:

The Junior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software for Phiquest clients in addition to the testing and modification of new and pre-existing software.   • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
  • Interacts with colleagues and/or partners through a variety of mediums to provide support and understand needs
  • Develop various tools within the core product and to increase day-to-day efficiency
  • Maintain infrastructure to ensure smooth operations

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Programming languages: Node.js, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Experience with modern IDE including the use Git repositories

Project Manager

Phiquest is looking for an Project Manager. The Project Manager facilitates the software development process. Supports the project team by facilitating project logistics such as cross-team collaborations, project reporting, process improvement, etc. Assists in the development and evolution of process tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve and document the SDLC Process and Tools
  • Analyze and effectively report on project metrics, e.g. hours burned vs. hours estimated, profitability, project progress, risk & issues.
  • Work with the cross functional teams to identify, articulate, and manage project risks and issues
  • Drive project issues through to resolution using the methodology established in the organization and effectively manage and control project changes
  • Create and deliver presentations on project goals and plans, including progress reports
  • Effectively communicate and advise the product management team of project statuses which includes inter-project dependencies and external project dependencies

Required Skills / Knowledge:
